CLIMATE CONNECTION EXERCISE

In this exercise you should think of a connection among the three elements that the random generator will provide you: a climate event; an action, passion or interest; and a need or right. The aim is to be able to identify the many different ways this climate crisis affects every aspect of our lives.

  • A wildfire has ravaged a local ecological reserve where a non-profit normally organizes community hikes to teach about endangered species. Now people in the area no longer have access to this popular educational resource
  • A few days ago, a hurricane whipped through the neighborhood, leaving many without power.Some have dumped rotting food from their refrigerators out onto the street, leaving a stench so strong that it was unpleasant to even sit on the porch.
  • We always used to go to the beach in Baja California for the Summer holidays, but with current sea levels rising, we no longer can travel or vacation there.
