“I Am Greta” Screening & Intergenerational Discussion

On Earth Day, we hosted a virtual screening of “I Am Greta” followed by an intergenerational conversation between climate activists and scholars.

Speakers

  • Leo Cerda

    Leo is from the Kichwa community of Serena in the Ecuadorian Amazon. He is a climate activist and indigenous rights defender focusing on efforts to build a more just and sustainable society. He is the Founder of the HAKHU Project, a young organization that supports community-based economic initiatives as a way to fight against exploitative oil and mining development in the Ecuadorian Amazon.He serves in many organizations locally and internationally bridging indigenous community initiatives and international support.

  • Candace Printz

    Candace is the founder of GREEN HOPE PROJECT, a nonprofit that began in 2019 born out of the desire to continue with, and improve upon, what It's Your World Project began in 2015. It’s Your World Project is a high school art/environmental group in El Paso, Texas. Our focuses include environmentalism, the Arts, and education. We believe that we can make a positive change by uniting in our efforts, identifying environmental problems, and changing our collective culture through the Arts and education. The more we offer people experiences, the more they become enlightened and empowered to be the change we need. What better way to do this than through the Arts?

  • Mustafa Santiago Ali

    A renowned thought leader, international speaker, policy maker, community liaison, trainer, and facilitator, Dr. Mustafa Santiago Ali serves as the Vice President of Environmental Justice, Climate, and Community Revitalization for the National Wildlife Federation. He is also the founder of Revitalization Strategies, a business focused on moving our most vulnerable communities from “surviving to thriving.”

    Before joining the National Wildlife Federation, Mustafa was the senior vice president for the Hip Hop Caucus, a national non-profit and non-partisan organization that connects the hip-hop community to the civic process to build power and create positive change.
